Kırıkkale University Strengthens Cooperation in the Lands of Barbarossa

Kırıkkale University continues to create bilateral cooperation more strongly. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan, Mecit Çetinkaya, the Chairman of Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of Fuat Sezgin Research Foundation for the History of Science in Islam, Assist. Prof. Şevket Evci, Secretary General, Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office, visited Blida 1 Saad Dahlab University. The bilateral cooperation agreement was renewed between Blida 1 Saad Dahlab University and Kırıkkale University. Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan gave a lecture on the History of Science in Islam to Algerian youth.

Firstly, Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan visited the Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bezzina, Rector of Blida 1 University, and thanked Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bezzina for the collaborative studies. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bezzina said that this visit would further strengthen the relations between two universities. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bezzina gave bouquets of roses unique to Blida, also known as the "City of Roses".

After the visit, a meeting was held with the participation of Kırıkkale University and Blida 1 University administrators. Dr. Hocine Ait Saadi and Dr. Roudane Mohamed, Vice Rectors of Blida 1 University, gave general information about the university, statistics, facilities and research projects. Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office, gave information about Kırıkkale University and internationalization efforts.

Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan answered the questions asked by Blida 1 University administrators and academic staffs related to accreditation, Technopark, language education opportunities, University and Industry cooperation and joint master’s degree. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bezzina said that two universities could make joint studies in many fields as Blida 1 University focused on Science and Technology, and Blida 1 University also had a leading language center in Algeria, and university students showed great interest especially in Turkish. After the meeting, the bilateral cooperation agreement was renewed between Kırıkkale University and Blida 1 University.

After this meeting and signing ceremony, the day continued with Conference on the History of Science in Islam. Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office gave information to students about Kırıkkale University. Mecit Çetinkaya, the Chairman of Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of Fuat Sezgin Research Foundation for the History of Science in Islam gave information about Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin and Research foundation. Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan delivered a speech on "Our Common Heritage and the Future of Humanity: History of Science". Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan talked about contributions of Islamic civilization to world civilization, the institutions founded by Islamic civilization, and Muslim scientists’ studies and works in various disciplines to Algerian youth.
