Kırıkkale University continue to work within the scope
of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education Project (CBHE), which is coordinated
by University of Mostaganem in Algeria. Six universities from Algeria, the
Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, University for
Foreigner of Siena, Italy, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Latvia
Riga Technical University, and Kırıkkale University are partners in the
project. The project title is “Certification
of Linguistics, Entrepreneurial and Digital Skills in the Algerian Higher
Education System”.
Algerian University representatives of the project
visited Kırıkkale University to receive digital skills training. Dr. Mohammed
Moussa, University of Mostaganem, Dr. Nabil Berrehouma University of Guelma,
Dr. Marwa Afaifia, Polytechnic School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Dr.
Mahfoudh Berrahmani, University of Blida 2, participated in the training. The
program continued 4 days. Prof. Dr. Erman Yükseltürk, Dean of the Faculty of
Education and Head of the Department of Computer and Educational Technologies
Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bülent Gürsel Emiroğlu, Faculty
Member of the Department of Computer Engineering, Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep
Başer, Head of International Office, Fatih İlhan, Research Assistant at the
Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education, provided
training according to the European Union Digital Competence Framework. Examples
of digital skills training and certification provided in the world and in
Türkiye were examined. It was discussed how the topics could be adapted to the
Algerian Higher Education System. The project will
last 36 months and is planned to be prepared under the guidance of Kırıkkale
University by the end of 2025.
Algerian guests visited Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet
Başalan on the first day of the training program. The guests gave information
about the Algerian Higher Education System, universities and their work. Prof.
Dr. Mehmet Başalan said “Kırıkkale University attaches importance to
project-based studies. It is necessary to strengthen this partnership, which
brings together different universities with new project ideas”. Algerian guests
thanked Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Başalan for the hospitality. The visit ended with a group photo.
Our guests attended the Traditional and Modern
Handicrafts Event and Ney and Piano recital organized by our Faculty of Fine
Arts. Algerian University representatives visited the Kırıkkale Weapons Museum
and Çeşnigir Bridge. They also received information about Kırıkkale and its
history.
