3 lecturers and 18 students from the Department of
International Relations of the Universitas Islam Indonesia visited Kırıkkale
University. After campus tour, A seminar was held under the moderation Assist.
Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatıma
Zeynep Belen, Vice Dean of Faculty of Islamic Studies delivered a speech titled
"Islam and Turkish Culture", and Masitoh Nur Rohma, Vice Head of the
Department of International Relations at Universitas Islam Indonesia delivered
a speech titled "Islam in Indonesia".
In the seminar, the impact of Islam on Turkish and
Indonesian societies, culture and important figures in both countries were
discussed. Students asked questions on the topics such as the impact of
religion on art and social life and the position of women in society. After
lunch, Indonesian guests visited the International Office.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan hosted guests in the
Rectorate Building. Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Başalan and Prof. Dr. Erol
Yılmaz, Assist. Prof. Dr. Şevket Evci, Secretary General and Assist. Prof. Dr.
Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office attended the meeting.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Şevket Evci, Secretary General said
that “Welcome to our university and our city. I serve as the Secretary General.
I am very pleased to be with you”.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yılmaz said that
"Welcome. We are pleased to host you here. Besides being the Vice Rector,
I am also the Head of the Department of Information and Document Management. My
areas of interest are the library, student groups and public relations. Thank
you for attending this meeting."
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Başalan said that
"Welcome. We are happy to host you in our city and our university. I am
the Vice Rector and a faculty member of the Department of Animal Nutrition and
Nutritional Diseases at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Thank you for your
participation."
Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan said that "Welcome
to our university and city. Project-based cooperations and mutual visits
between our countries are important. We can build the future together. Don't
forget who you are and what your civilization has done. Muslims and Muslim countries
have made important inventions and pioneered technological developments
throughout history. You will witness them in the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Library
and Museum in Istanbul. Kırıkkale, located in the middle of Türkiye, is the heart
of Türkiye and our defense industry. I hope you have a good time in our city
and country, which has historical and natural beauties."
At the end of the program, the Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan
Aslan gave gifts to our Indonesian guests.
