Kırıkkale University Participated in the “Türkiye-Oman Knowledge Dialogue Symposium”

Kırıkkale University participated in the “Türkiye-Oman Knowledge Dialogue Symposium” held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, between 20-22 January 2025. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan, Assist. Prof. Şevket Evci, Secretary General, Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office, represented our university to strengthen academic cooperation between Türkiye and Oman.

Collaboration Meeting with Arab Open University

Before the symposium program, our university delegation visited Arab Open University. They met with Rector Mohammed Albadi, Vice Rector Dr. Nasser Al Yahyaei and Dr. Aisa bint Hamad al Darmaki, Head of International Office and other administrative staff at the Arab Open University. During the meeting, they shared information about the education and training activities, academic research and international collaborations of both universities.

Later, they visited Yunus Emre Institute. They discussed the activities carried out in Oman and Turkish language teaching issues. After the visit, a meeting was held with embassy officials. Education and cultural cooperation between Türkiye and Oman was discussed.

The Symposium Continued with the Opening Program and Academic Sessions

In the opening program of the symposium, Rahma Bint İbrahim Al Mahrooqiye, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of Oman, Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hekimoğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Muscat, Prof. Dr. Derya Örs, Head of the Atatürk Supreme Council for Culture, Language and History, delivered speeches.

On the first day, topics such as Literature, Language and Translation, Türkiye-Oman Relations, and Islamic Architecture were discussed. Academicians presented speeches on topics such as ‘Teaching Arabic from the Ottoman Empire to the Present, Arabic Literature and Translation Studies in Türkiye and the International Impact of Turkish TV Series and Language’.

Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan thanked Rahma Bint Ibrahim Al Mahrooqiye and presented a book. On the second day of the symposium, Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan delivered a speech titled "Our Common Heritage and Future: History of Science".

Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan Visited the Turkish Embassy in Muskat

Our university delegation visited the Turkish Embassy in Muskat. Ambassador Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hekimoğlu gave information to the guests about Oman.

In the last session of the symposium, bilateral cooperation meetings were held between Turkish and Oman universities. Collaboration activities were discussed with Sohar University and Sultan Qaboos University officials. Following the symposium, the International College of Engineering and Management was visited. Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan thanked College Dean Dr. Yingkui Zhao.

Bilateral Cooperation Meeting Held with Nizwa University

On the last day of the symposium, our university delegation visited Nizwa University. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Rawahi gave information about the history and activities of the university. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Rawahi was pleased with the visit and bilateral cooperation with Türkiye.
