Kırıkkale University
hosted an important visit that will strengthen our existing academic
collaborations with Uzbekistan. Ulug‘bek Malıkov, Ruxshona Abdullayeva and
Dıyorbek Tursunov, students of the Faculty of Medicine at Zarmed University,
Uzbekistan, Dıyora Saıdumarova, student of the Faculty of Dentistry, visited
our University within the scope of a short-term academic program.
On the first day of the
program, students visited the International Office. Students were hosted by Assist.
Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office. During the meeting,
general information was given about our University's internationalization
efforts as well as academic mobility, research projects and cultural program opportunities
between the two Universities.
Dean Prof. Dr. Esra Dilek
Keskin and Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Atike Tekeli Kunt welcomed the Uzbek students
visiting the Faculty of Medicine. Faculty administration gave
detailed information about the academic structure of our Faculty of Medicine, educational
programs, laboratory facilities and clinical practice processes. The students
visited medical laboratories, examined research activities, learned about the
health services provided in our hospital.
Later, the students visited
the Faculty of Dentistry within the scope of the program. Vice Dean Assist. Prof.
Dr. Alaattin Tekeli gave information about the technological infrastructure,
clinical practices and opportunities offered to the students at the Faculty of Dentistry.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan
Yapıcı, Head of the Recreation Department of the Faculty of Sports Sciences,
gave information to the visiting students about the Faculty of Sports Sciences
and the sports opportunities at Kırıkkale University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan
Yapıcı carried out a climbing activity with Uzbek students. The students highlighted
that this activity refreshed them both physically and spiritually, and that
they were very impressed by the our University hospitality.
The students visited our
central library and various units on campus to observe our academic, social and
cultural opportunities. Then, they visited our University's
promotional stands in Republic and Democracy Square. The students also discovered
our historical and cultural figures and had the opportunity to taste our
traditional flavors in the city centre. Furthermore, the students rode horses
at our Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with Lecturer Büşra Kırlangıç. They expressed
that they were particularly impressed by the natural beauty and modern
infrastructure of the campus.
The visit is expected to strengthen academic relations between the two countries, increase cultural interaction between students and contribute to future joint projects.
