The application of Kırıkkale University to the European Commission for the
European University Charter (EUC) on November 1, 2003, was concluded positively,
and as a result of this application, our University was entitled to receive the
European University Charter. Within the framework of the Erasmus Program, our
students are provided with the opportunity to study at European Universities,
while our academicians have the opportunity to give lectures and conduct
research at these universities. Academicians and students from European
Universities have begun to be accepted to our university.
The Bologna Declaration aimed to create European Higher
Education Area in order to raise the European higher education system to an
internationally competitive level. Our unit coordinates the activities related
to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), course contents and diploma
supplement (DE) works within the framework of the Bologna Process, student and
academic staff/administrative staff mobility within the framework of EU Education
and Youth Programs on behalf of our university. The Unit represents our
university in meetings, panels, and promotion days. Within the framework of EU
Education and Youth Programs, it is possible for students to complete a part of
their education or internship in Europe, and for instructors to teach at
universities in Europe. In this context, our unit, on the one hand, coordinates
our university's work on internationalization, on the other hand, tries to
increase the benefits from EU Education and Youth Programs qualitatively and
quantitatively throughout the university, with the meetings, promotion days and
promotional materials it prepares.
Our unit offers Farabi Program, which is a student and faculty exchange
program between higher education institutions providing education and training
at the associate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels within universities
and high technology institutes, and the Mevlana Exchange Program, which makes
exchange possible with the whole world, financed by the Council of Higher
Education.
