As the Rector of
Kırıkkale University, I would like to start my words by expressing that I feel
privileged to be a part of this distinguished institution and offer my
gratitude and appreciation to my colleagues who have helped make this
university a “great home” for students coming from homeland and abroad.
As a university
celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, with 3 graduate schools, 12
faculties, 7 vocational schools, a school of foreign languages as well as 4
hospitals, numerous research centers, laboratories, and sports facilities on a
stunning campus, Kırıkkale University today has quite a few Erasmus partners
from Europe and many bilateral agreements from across the world, enjoying the
pleasure of being an international university, sending students and lecturers
abroad and welcoming students and lecturers from over the world.
Our priority is
to provide our students with the best programs and the peaceful and friendly
atmosphere they need to grow as intellectuals, scholars, and independent
individuals. It is my pleasure to let you know that we have created the
environment necessary for the achievement of the universal goals of a
university, such as strengthening the regional activities in health care,
nationwide activities in distance learning and lifelong learning, as well as
international collaborations in various fields.
Kırıkkale
University gives high importance to university-industry engagement. We need to
combine theoretical knowledge with practice at the higher education level. With the
protocols we have signed and the cooperations we have built, our students find
the opportunity to gain experience related to their fields of study at
workplaces while they continue their education. More precisely, we prioritize
the Defense Industry. To this end, Kırıkkale University carries out several
projects with the contributions of its various departments. We would like to
ensure that our students take an active role in these projects. We endeavor to educate young leaders who are
aware of the need for advanced technology and who are the candidates to produce
their own technology, understand the importance of innovation and R&D, and
have high competitive power among their peers around the world.
In conclusion,
our belief is that the versatility of the university demonstrates its quality.
So, as Mevlana said “come whoever you are”, you are always welcome as a
visiting scholar, as an exchange student, or as one who wants to join us for a
whole education period.
