Our Visits Abroad Continue Within the Scope of Our Internationalization Works

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan and President of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees of the Islamic Science History Research Foundation (IBTAV) Mecit Çetinkaya, visited Brighter Horizon Schools in Baton Rouge, which provide education from kindergarten to high school. The officials of Brighter Horizon School, which is in progress of moving to its new buildings, accepted our Rector and the delegation.

Our Rector received information about the school from the School Principal Dr. Anwar Hamdi. He visited classes at different levels and distributed gifts to students. Our Rector presented the English edition of the book "Museum of the History of  Science and Technology in Islam" to the Brighter Horizon School Principal Dr. Anwar Hamdi.

After the visit, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan, IBTAV President of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees Mecit Çetinkaya, Head of International Office, Assist Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Southern University Turkiye Liaison Dr. Osman Kandara and Southern University Study Abroad program manager and Turkish instructor Dr. Mehtap Kandara, visited the Louisiana State Capitol building and governor's office upon the invitation of Louisiana State Representative Dr. Barbara Carpenter,. Our Rector and the accompanying delegation learned about the history and parliamentary work of the State of Louisiana and thanked Dr. Barbara Carpenter for this special invitation and her kind interest. Our Rector presented the tile painting depicting the Çeşnigir Bridge, one of the historical symbols of our city, to the President of the Louisiana Labour and Industry Committee.
