Our university took its
place in the 2024 World University Rankings by Times Higher Education (THE),
one of the leading Higher Education Rating Institutions, by showing success
this year. Together with our University, which had been ranked in THE WUR for
the first time in 2023, 1904 universities from 108 countries and regions
managed to take part in the rankings this year. In addition to these
institutions, 769 more universities that provided data but did not meet the
eligibility criteria to be included in the rankings were listed with
"reporter" status.
While
seventy-five universities from Türkiye were included in the ranking, twenty-two
universities were listed as reporters.
In this year's ranking, data was collected from more than 2673 institutions and more than 134 million citations in 16.5 million research publications were examined. Additionally, survey responses collected from 68,402 scientists worldwide were analyzed. The World University Rankings were created based on evaluations under five pillars, each representing an important area of excellence in higher education: Teaching, Research, Citations, Industry income and International outlook. The highest ranking of our university was Research, where it ranked 873rd.
