Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan
visited International Balkan University (IBU) together with Necmeddin Bilal
Erdogan, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Research Foundation for the
History of Science in Islam (IBTAV), Mecit Çetinkaya, Director of the Board of
Directors, and the accompanying delegation.
The visit started with a meeting in which Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan,
Member of the IBTAV Board of Trustees, Mecit Çetinkaya, Director of the Board
of Directors, and Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan
as well as Süleyman Özdil, Director of the Board of Directors of International Balkan
University (IBU), Members of the Board of Directors of IBU, Rector of IBU Prof.
Dr. Lutfi Sunar, Vice Rector, Dr. Seyhan
M. Ibrahimi, Director of Turks Abroad and Related Communities Abdullah Eren,
Kırıkkale University Head of International Office, Dr. Zeynep Başer and other
IBU delegates.
Our University Was Shown as an Example
At the meeting, the Rector of IBU
Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar gave
information about the International Balkan University and its studies to the
participants. Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan said that IBU can become stronger by
cooperating with stakeholders in Türkiye. Expressing that they want to see the
signed bilateral cooperation agreements actively, Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan cited
the studies carried out by our University as an example.

mentioned the ongoing internationalization activities of our University in a
wide geography ranging from Indonesia to America and Chile and said that a work
plan will be issued immediately for project-based studies to be conducted with
IBU. The meeting ended after our University and IBTAV signed a bilateral
cooperation agreement with the International Balkan University and a mass photo

Innox Innovation Center and MATUSITEB were visited
After the IBU program, the delegation visited the Innox Innovation
Center of the board at a central location in Skopje square under the leadership
of IBU in Skopje. The center is expected to contribute to entrepreneurs and the
development of the innovation environment in North Macedonia.
After the visit to the Innox Innovation Center, the delegation visited
the Macedonian Union of Turkish Non-Governmental Organizations (MATUSITEB).
Tahsin Ibrahim, President of MATUSITEB, expressed their satisfaction with the
visit and highlighted the fact that they are an umbrella organization that
brings together 54 associations representing different groups in North
Macedonia. Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan
stressed that Macedonian Turks in North Macedonia should not consider
themselves a minority, that they are the main population of this geography,
their unity and togetherness here are very important, and that Türkiye is
always with them.
After the visits, the delegation participated in the ‘Türkiye Alumni
Meeting' organized by the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities
(YTB) in the capital Skopje. After the Turkish Alumni Meeting organized by YTB,
Sevba Abdula, President of the Balkan Studies Foundation, gave information
about the Foundation and its working area and stated that they also work in
partnership with YTB. After the speeches, a bilateral cooperation agreement was
signed with our University, IBTAV and the Balkan Studies Foundation.
