A Bilateral Cooperation Meeting Was Held Between Our University and Azerbaijan Technical University

A bilateral cooperation meeting was held between our University, which carries out project-based studies with universities in different geographies, and Azerbaijan Technical University.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Başalan and Prof. Dr. Erol Yılmaz, Vice Rectors of Kırıkkale University, Assist. Prof. Şevket Evci, Secretary General, Assist. Prof. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office, Lec. Göksun Ünlü, Publication and Public Relations Unit Manager participated the meeting. Azerbaijan Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Vilayet Veliyev, Prof. Dr. Sübhan Namazov and Prof. Dr. Fariz Mammadov, Vice Rectors of Azerbaijan Technical University, Dr. Orhan Vatankhan, Head of International Office, Dr. Aynura İsmayılova, Director of University Industry Cooperation and Lifelong Learning Center, Dr. Bahtiyar Badalov, Research and Development Department Manager, Dr. Manzar Mammadli, International Office Specialist participated the meeting.

The program started with the National Anthems of Türkiye and Azerbaijan and continued with the opening speeches of the rectors.

Azerbaijan Technical University Prof. Dr. Vilayet Veliyev mentioned about the history of the university and said that they worked with institutions such as KOSGEB, Chambers of Commerce, TEI, ASELSAN, HAVELSAN and TUSAŞ. Azerbaijan Technical University Prof. Dr. Vilayet Veliyev said “Azerbaijan Technical University is a leading university in the field of Engineering. We would like to carry out research and projects in cooperation with your university in different fields, especially the defence industry and bioengineering.” Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan said “Türkiye and Azerbaijan are countries that always help each other. In the next period, we will work to be beneficial to our nation as 'One Nation, Two States'. We have very good relations and cooperation from past to present, especially established by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. We have not only commercial and military collaboration but also collaboration in the field of education. We would like to develop our cooperation with other countries in the Organization of Turkic States. I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Vilayet Veliyev and his team from Azerbaijan Technical University for their positive approach.”

Our Rector invited the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University to our city and University to sign the bilateral cooperation agreement. Prof. Dr. Vilayet Veliyev, the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University expressed his satisfaction and excitement about the studies to be carried out and thanked our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan.

The meeting ended with expressing good wishes for cooperation.
