Kırıkkale University’s New Collaboration in Algeria

Kırıkkale University agreed on a new collaboration with Oran 2 University in Algeria. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan, Mecit Çetinkaya, Chairman of İBTAV Board of Directors and Board of Trustees, Assist. Prof. Dr. Şevket Evci, Secretary General of Kırıkkale University, Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office, visited the Oran 2 University in Algeria.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan and the delegation attended the meeting with Prof. Dr. Ahmed Chaalal, Rector of Oran 2 University, Dr. Ismail Amani, Vice Rector for International Relations, Dr. Mehdi Mekkakia, Vice Rector for Education, Dr. Baba Hamid, Resonsible for Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Waafa Fali, Language Center Coordinator. Rector Chaalal  said that they attached great importance to foreign language education and expected support from Kırıkkale University in Turkish education. He added that there was a strong historical bond between Türkiye and Algeria and many families in Algeria were of Turkish origin. Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan emphasised the strong historical bond between two countries more than 500 years and said that Algeria and Türkiye were brother countries.

Dr. Ismail Amani, Vice Rector for International Relations, gave information about faculties, student numbers, projects and international partners of Oran 2 University. Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, Head of International Office, mentioned about works and studies within the scope of internationalization at Kırıkkale University. After the speeches, a bilateral agreement was signed. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Chaalal expressed his satisfaction with their visit. The program ended with presentation of gifts and group photo.
