Cooperation with Avicenna Tajik State Medical University

Our university, which has been working continuously towards our internationalization goals, has signed a Bilateral Cooperation Agreement with Avicenna Tajik State Medical University. An online meeting was held to discuss cooperation activities, which was attended by our university's Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Başalan, our Secretary General Assist. Prof. Dr. Şevket Evci, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine  Prof. Dr. Dilek Keskin, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry  Prof. Dr. Ali Erdemir, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Yurdagül Erdem, the Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology  Assoc. Dr. Hüsamettin Ekici, the Head of the International Office, Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Başer, the Head of the Press, Publication, and Public Relations Office, Lec. Göksun Ünlü, the Deputy Head of the International Office Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehtap Aral Duvan and several faculty members. From Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, which consists of 5 faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health, Pharmacy, and Pediatrics, the Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Jiyonkhon Muhabbatzoda, the Head of the International Relations Department Prof. Dr. Jamshed Dodkhoev, the Head of the Education and Methodology Department  Dr. Said Abdullozoda, the Head of the Science and Innovation Department  Dr. Rukhshona Jamolova, the Head of the Scientist Training Department  Dr. Suhrob Alizade, the Deputy Head of the Education and Methodology Department Dr. Manizha Bashirovna, the International Relations Specialist, Akbar Toshov, and Amal Sherbadalova participated in the ceremony.

Following the presentations introducing our university and Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Başalan emphasized the importance our university places on internationalization and the exemplary work we have done worldwide in this regard, and highlighted the potential for joint projects, symposiums, panels, and other events with Avicenna Tajik State Medical University.

Expressing their satisfaction with the cooperation, Avicenna Tajik State Medical University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Jiyonkhon Muhabbatzoda stated that student and staff exchange programs, as well as research and education-oriented joint projects, could be undertaken between the two universities.

During the meeting held through mutual exchange of ideas, it was decided that both universities will participate in joint conferences that will be held in the near future, undertake student and staff exchange programs, organize webinars on Teknopark, conduct joint research in the fields of technology and health, and make joint applications to Erasmus+ projects. The online meeting ended with a group photo.
