Chamber Orchestra presented a music recital. Additionally, our University Folk
Dance Group Folklore Team performed.
After the performance, Prof. Dr. Zeynep Tezel, Chair
of Congress and Director of the Health Sciences Institute at our University
delivered an opening speech. She stated “We are gathered here today to rethink,
discuss, and reinterpret the concept of family not only as a social institution
but also as one of the most fundamental foundations of human existence. The
family is an indispensable and important structure in human life, even in the
face of ever-changing social, economic, and cultural conditions. Therefore,
every academic study on the family is also an investment in the future of
society. 2025 was declared the "Year of the Family" by the approval
of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Thus, an "International
Congress" was planned to be hosted by Kırıkkale University in October. The
theme of our congress was determined as "Strong Family, Strong
Society." This theme aims to address the technological, economic,
cultural, and psychological dimensions that affect the family today.
Digitalization, migration, family health, family values, family and
spirituality, marital relations, and intergenerational communication are the
fundamental dynamics of this age. Today, understanding the family is no longer
limited to traditional roles. The family is a structure that determines both
individual well-being and social stability. Therefore, every study conducted on
this topic is not only a scientific contribution but also an initiative that
serves the common values of humanity… This congress aims to foster an
interdisciplinary discussion with the participation of academics, researchers,
and practitioners from different countries… Through this congress, we aim to raise
social awareness, and encourage knowledge sharing on an international scale.”
Following the opening speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Aslan addressed
the audience, stating, "Last year, we held the International Congress on
Children during the same period wiith the aim of being the voice of oppressed
and suffering children around the world. the Many scholars from both our
country and abroad participated the Congress. Presentations were delivered on
various topics related to children... We wished to maintain these efforts in the
Family Congress this year not only with the contributions of our academic staff
at Kırıkkale University, but also with the contributions of our partners in our
city, our country, and abroa,. I would like to thank all our friends from our country and abroad as they
contributed to this effort... Dear students, esteemed guests; when we look at
the holy books, the Torah, the Bible, and the Holy Quran, there is a common
call in all of them: ‘Protect the family’... Even from a non-religious
perspective, it is clear how valuable the family is for the continuity of society
and the sustainability of generations. Therefore, I believe that the papers
presented today and tomorrow will serve as an important guide both for us and
for institutions related to the family and the individual... This year, the
number of the presentations will be 117 under approximately 17 different topics.
Some of the presentations will be online, while the majority will be face to
face. I would like to thank everyone who participated this Congress. We
currently have guests from more than 15 countries here. I would like to thank
all our friends who have joined us... As I conclude my speech, I would like to
once again condemn the genocide taking place in Gaza... While today the fire
seems to be burning in Gaza, great suffering is also being experienced in
another part of the world, in East Turkistan. May God grant that the oppressed
people in East Turkistan, Gaza, and all over the world find peace and freedom
as soon as possible. I once again welcome all our guests from abroad."
Gifts were presented to the Project Director of “Görmem için Sen Varsın [You
Are Here for Me to See],” the foster family, the family of the martyr, and the
family of the disabled person. At the end of the event, Certificates of
Appreciation were given to the sponsoring companies and institutions that
contributed to the congress.
The program ended with a photo shot.
